Biggar is conveniently located adjacent to Highways 4, 14 and 51 and is served by both of Canada’s major railways. Less than an hour drive to the City of Bridges and an international airport, Biggar is an attractive location for both young families and entrepreneurs.

Incorporated in 1911, the Town of Biggar is now home to industry leaders Rack Petroleum, AGI Envirotank, Prairie Malt, and APA Archery. Biggar provides many amenities to support everyday living such as a dental office, optometrists, physicians, physiotherapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, acupuncturists, estheticians, and more! Our community is a prime location for new business and residential development.

The Town encloses a Health Centre and Medical Clinic supporting three doctors, Home Care programs and Care Home facility selections. Biggar maintains areas for emergency services, an RCMP detachment, Fire Department, Ambulance and STARS. 

Biggar is a great place to raise a family. It flaunts an abundance of parks, organized sports, sports facilities, drama/theatre productions, and two excellent school systems. We are a friendly, family oriented community and we are growing! Because of that the community of Biggar holds a license Day Care facility as well as multiple Private Day Home options. 

Biggar is home to several recreation facilities such as the Outdoor Recreation Complex, Rec Valley, Jubilee Stadium (rink), Curling Rink, Aquatic Centre, Splash Park, Regional Park, and Biggar Golf Club. Entertainment amenities involve the Majestic Theatre (movies and more), Biggar Museum and Gallery, Biggar Wheatland Library, Biggar Bowl, Biggar Family Centre, and Argo Bush.
