Our Mission

The Biggar & District Health Services Foundation Inc.’s mission is raising funds, prudently managing and allocating those funds, for the benefit of health services provided in Biggar and district by Heartland Health Region.

History of the Biggar & District Health Services Foundation Inc.

The Biggar & District Health Services Foundation Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization established in 2012 dedicated to the enrichment of health care by acting as a fundraising agency. The Biggar & District Health Services Foundation Inc. operates independently of other health care organizations. The Foundation provides funding for the purchase of medical equipment, medical services and staff education for health services delivered in Biggar and district by Heartland Health Region. Funds raised will help to ensure high quality acute care, long-term care, EMS, community health, home care and medical care in Biggar and district.

Board of Directors

BDHS Foundation Inc. is governed by eight directors, who bring a variety of backgrounds, offering their unique skills and talents to ensure the Foundation’s success.

All Directors contribute their time and effort without any payment or benefit, other than the satisfaction of contributing to the community. They are working directors, as members serve on various committees and fundraising projects.
