1. How much are licenses for dogs and when are they available?

Dog tags are available January 1st of each year and please see attachment for rates and dogs that are prohibited. Current Rates

3. What do I do when I find a stray animal?

You can call the Town office during week days between 8a.m. - 4p.m. and we will arrange for the animal to be picked up and taken to the Biggar Vet Clinic or if you please you can take the animal to the Biggar Vet Clinic.

4. Does the Town of Biggar have an off-leash dog area?

Biggar is pet friendly but does not have an off-leash area. Dogs must be leashed at all times. The owner must supply their own pet bags so they are able to clean up after their furry friends.

5. I have a skunk in my yard, who do I call?

Call the Town Office at 306-948-3317 and we will contact the Town Foreman to place a trap on your property. Traps are distributed on a first come first serve basis. Once the skunk is caught the Town Foreman will pick it up and get rid of it.

6. What do I do if I spot a rat?

Please contact the Town Office at 306-948-3317 and we will contact our Pest Control Officer to go remedy the situation.

7. What dogs are prohibited in the Town of Biggar?

The list of dogs that are prohibited in the Town of Biggar are American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Bull Terrier, Pit Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Bull Mastiff, Akita or any dog of mixed breeding which can be identified through its physical characteristics as a dog partially of the above mentioned breeds or kinds by a veterinarian licensed to practice in Saskatchewan.
