My water bill seems high, why is that?
You may have a leaking toilet. The best way to check for a leak is to put a food coloring in the tank of the toilet and let it sit overnight without flushing. If the color is in the bowl in the morning, then you have a leak. You can also check the read on the meter before going to bed and then again in the morning. If it has changed then you will have a leak. Another reason could be if it was an estimate bill before your actual reading bill, you might be playing catch up.
