Health Centre - The Biggar Health Centre is located at 115-3rd Avenue West and has three doctors operating out of their office. These doctors have a general practice and have full hospital privileges.
Home Care - Biggar Home Care operates also under the Heartland Regional Health Board. They provide the basic medical care needed to approximately 140 clients. Meals on Wheels is also available to many seniors in the community for a small fee. Other services to assist seniors to stay in their homes can be arranged.
Hospitals - The Biggar Union Hospital was built in 1976 and had 32 beds. Currently, the 14-bed facility is operated by the Heartland Regional Health Board. They provide acute care and general hospital services to a large geographical area. The hospital has 67 employees. Full services in laboratory, x-ray, outpatient, and emergency department services are all provided within the Biggar Union Hospital.
Nursing Home - The Diamond Lodge Nursing Home has 60 beds for Level IV clients. This facility offers full nursing care with regular doctor visits. Activities are provided for the residents within the facility and through excursions using a locally owned special van. Many community volunteers and organizations provide social events on a regular basis within the home.
Senior Housing - The Biggar Housing Authority includes three places for senior housing. The Meadowlark, Westview and Norwest Apartments. The office is located at 412 - 5th Avenue West.
